The series is about women and girls that live their lives on the streets of Leeds in the “red light zone”. The location takes place in an area of Leeds called Holbeck and it is the first place in Britain to be legally reserved for prostitution and has been titled the Red Light Zone. The term ‘red light’ comes from the time when people used red lights to indicate that there were prostitutes in brothels.   Prostitution in Holbeck was legalised in 2013, and the sex workers can work from the 7pm to 7am in the morning.   ‘ Life in the Red L

The first episode started on 16 October 1972 and between 1972 and 1989, it used to be called Emmerdale Farm. It was created by Kevin Laffan. It is not a box set season because it is on 6 times a week since 2004 and last for an hour long. For the first 25 years, there were only 2 episodes per week. Between 1972 and up to today, there has been 7957 episodes. Emmerdale’s cast is split between the regular cast and the guest cast. Some actors have been in this soap for the last 30 years such as Ryan Hawley who plays the character of Robert Sugden and some others, the guest cast have been on it for only a month like Andrew Scarborough.
