3 posters

I chose this poster because I like the layout- how the illustration is the point of focus and fact that the typography surrounds the point of focus. The use of bold typography shows importance and a sense of seriousness of the matter being connoted through the poster.     I chose this poster purely because of the use of bright colour on the point of focus which is the face and also the use colour catches the audience’s eye which I find vibrant and also gives a contrast with the background colours. I chose this poster because I am aiming to incorporate a woman in my poster. I like the fact the colours chosen are black and yellow. Yellow represents the sun to me and Rasta people come from hot country. But what strikes me the most in this poster, is the message written and hidden in the dreadlock with the little child climbing and that mirror the title. I found this poster very powerful and effective.

Early Editing: Task 1A & 1B

Early Editing What was thought to be the first moving picture film? Give the name, directors, date Cinematographe Lumiere – by the Lumiere brother’s first public screening December 28, 1895 Name the early technologies used for early film making (moving pictures). How did Melies discover editing and how did he use this in his early films? The name of the first moving picture camera was the cinematographe machine and the Animatographe. George Melies discovered editing accidentally when he was filming a bus for one of his films. His camera jammed and when it started to work again the bus was gone. It was replaced with a horse carriage. This gave the effect of a jump cut. Straight after the incident, Melies used it in his film ‘The Haunted Castle’ 1896. Melies also introduced editing techniques such as fade in and fade out, overlapping dissolves and stop motion photography. How many films did Melies make? Give the name and the date of Melies’ most famous and influential film.

The Lion of Judah was represented on the flag of Ethiopia from 1897 to 1974. This version of the Ethiopian flag is red, gold, green, and sometimes black, with the symbol of a crowned lion. ·          The color red is represented of the blood spilt in the name of freedom

Evaluation of Short Film

Evaluation of Short Film What were the aims of your brief from your chosen charity/campaign and did you fulfil them? The aim of the brief was to produce a short film for a charity in order to raise awareness to inform viewers about what the charity does. I believe we managed to fulfil this brief because the film we produced was just over 3 minutes long and it helped to raise awareness of Childline. It did this by telling a narrative about a girl that was being bullied and how her friend introduced her to Childline. We also put contact details at the end of the film for viewers to be able to understand the whole concept and be able to contact the charity if they needed support. What were your original ideas about how did these develop throughout the project? Initially we brainstormed ideas individually, then we came together as a group and talked through our ideas until we were in agreement about which organisation we wanted to promote and ways of doing this. Initially we
